In Canine 49, you play as Luther - a 20-year old mechanic - who lives happily together with his dog Scrappy. That is until one day Scrappy breaks down. Now it is up to Luther to find the parts to fix poor ol' Scrappy and continue their happy life together.

RESPONSIBILITIES / MY CONTRIBUTION

  • I designed the open world puzzles that are encountered when walking around in the world.
  • I Worked closely together with the environmental artists in order to convey clarity to the player.
  • I implemented the pathing and decided on item and NPC placements.
  • I hosted several playtests in order to test out my puzzle designs.

About the client

This prompt was sent through the Rainbow Connection - a wish granting organization located in Michigan. The original author of the concept is Nathan Stewart, an 18-year-old who was brought in to contact with BUAS through the Rainbow Connection.
